Miss

Winkles

Miss Winkles was an adorable, slightly mischievous West Highland Terrier with a playful spirit, boundless affection, and a huge heart. Much too soon at just three years old her life tragically ended in her master’s arms after a poisonous bite. Miss Winkles was the ever-faithful companion to David McDonald, who has celebrated her life by supporting this wonderful facility…

We do our best to keep our website up-to-date with our available pets, though the best way to see who we have with us is always to come see us! We’re open for walk-ins Tuesday – Sunday from 1 PM to 5 PM, and we’d love to help you find your match!

My experience at Miss Winkles was great! We went in to adopt a dog and had no clue that the staff was able to take the dogs out and bring them out to a nice outside space. We had our 15 month old son with us and we wanted to make sure that the dog and our son got along. We have enjoyed Bindi for the last 5 months, she is a great addition to the family!

Ella is an incredible addition to our family. She has made herself at home and is quite safely planted herself in our hearts. She is a sweetie and we couldn’t have asked for a more wonderful dog. Your staff were incredibly helpful in our decision on what dog to get for our brood.

Miss Winkles was such a nice place to go and adopt a new cat. I think we spent about an hour there looking at all of the animals before we found Mylo. My girls didn’t want to leave! Mylo has been a great addition to our family and acts like he’s been here all along.

The Miss Winkles staff knew that my family and I were looking for a new furry friend, so they introduced me to a cute puff ball named Roscoe. Upon meeting Roscoe, I quickly adopted him and took him home to meet his two sisters and new mom. It did not take long for Roscoe to take over as “Chief” of the house! Roscoe often enjoys skinless, boneless homemade chicken for dinner and likes to relax in my favorite chair.
